The year we made it official!

A New Chapter for the Paddington PTA

The 2024–2025 school year marked the beginning of something truly special. For the first time, our PTA blossomed into a fully organized, connected, energized, and parent-led community — one rooted in purpose and possibility. Together, we established a shared mission: to uplift our teachers, enrich our children’s experience, and foster meaningful connections along the way. By putting thoughtful systems in place for transparency, communication, and collaboration, and adding in a little creative flair, we laid a strong foundation for the years ahead — and a more vibrant Paddington for all.

From the inside out, we put real infrastructure in place to ensure your support was used thoughtfully and with integrity. This wasn’t just about spreadsheets — it was about creating a culture of participation and confidence in how the PTA operates.

Our Digital Foundation & Identity

Modern systems that make it easier to join, give, and stay involved.

We knew we needed tools that could keep up with our community’s energy and generosity. So we built digital systems from the ground up — creating a modern, user-friendly experience for every Paddington family. And now our PTA looks and feels as magical as the community it serves — while keeping families informed with friendly, fun, and consistent updates.

  • Members now have a true voice in how we allocate funds and prioritize initiatives. All major decisions are voted on and documented — your vote genuinely counts.

  • Our budget is now shared in real time and accessible to all members at any point throughout the year. No mysteries. No surprises.

  • Guardrails are in place to ensure every dollar we spend is approved, purposeful, and on budget — with reimbursements submitted and tracked through a streamlined system.

  • For the first time ever, the PTA is insured. This protects our events, our volunteers, and the integrity of the organization.

  • We implemented a monthly reporting system, a reimbursement process for committee leads, and other behind-the-scenes tools that keep everything running smoothly.

  • We launched Paddington’s first-ever PTA website and developed a joyful brand identity to match. The site now serves as the official home for membership, events, signups, spirit merch, fundraising, and all things PTA — with a look and feel that reflects the magic of our community.

  • We made it easier than ever to pitch in, with digital flyers, signup forms, and quick links for everything from carline helpers to Carnival’s Sponsorship Squad — all centralized on our website so families can jump in when and how they’re able.

  • We launched an online Spirit Shop featuring branded drop-ship (and risk-free) apparel and new “Proud Family” yard signs, generating over $5,000 in revenue while helping families rep their Paddington pride around town.

  • We implemented modern checkout flows for the Spirit Shop, Sponsorship Donations, Carnival, and future events — making it simple to contribute, RSVP, or purchase tickets online, no paper forms, checks, or envelopes required.

  • We created a cohesive voice across all touchpoints — from emails to flyers to our first-ever calendar magnets for the 2025-2026 school year. With on-brand updates sent via physical flyers, ChildPilot and our website, families always had the info they needed.

  • Our outreach efforts helped more than 50 new members join the PTA, bringing fresh energy, ideas, and support to everything we do.

Appreciation

This was the first year the Paddington PTA led the charge on Teacher & Staff Appreciation — and the impact was felt immediately. With thoughtful gestures big and small, we set out to ensure our incredible educators felt just how much they mean to us. The result? A year full of smiles, gratitude, and joy.

Every bouquet, breakfast, and bonus was a thank-you — from all of us to the people who make Paddington magical every day.

How we showed our teachers love:

  • Hosted breakfasts at every staff meeting to start the day with warmth (and caffeine)

  • Celebrated birthdays each season with gorgeous flower wraps and Starbucks gift cards

  • Threw a festive Holiday Luncheon and gifted $150 Christmas bonuses to all staff

  • Delivered a full Teacher Appreciation Week featuring:

    • A delicious catered luncheon

    • Boxed spa gift sets for every teacher

  • Provided year-round recognition for birthdays and special milestones

Our Funds at Work

Thanks to generous member contributions and successful fundraising, the PTA was able to provide meaningful upgrades and enhancements that directly support our children, teachers, and classrooms.

What we donated to our school:

  • A new Apple Mac desktop for staff to use

  • A brand-new table for one of the classrooms

  • Play equipment for the Baby Bunnies

  • New wheels for the Baby Buggies to make gravel-road walks smoother and safer

  • Gift cards for visiting performers and enrichment guests

  • Mosquito control solutions to make outdoor play more comfortable

  • A $20,000 one-time PTA-funded contribution to support special projects and classroom enhancements

2024’s Holiday Carnival was nothing short of spectacular, and it’s all thanks to you! From the families who attended and purchased tickets to the incredible teachers, parent volunteers, and sponsors who made it all happen, we’re endlessly grateful.

With your help, we raised over $45,000!

These funds are nearly double last year’s total and will directly support PTA initiatives that enrich our school community through educational resources, teacher appreciation, and memorable events for our students.
